Welcome to the
web site of the Estate Planning and Trust Council of Long Beach (EP&TCLB).
EP&TCLB was organized for the purpose of promoting cooperation and sharing
of knowledge among attorneys, CPA's, financial planners, trust officers,
and insurance advisors who are active in the field of estate planning or
trusts. Membership is also open to other financial services professionals
who take an active role in estate planning on behalf of their clients. All
members are required to have at least five years experience in their profession.
(You may qualify for an Associate Membership if you have less than five
years experience - please be sure to check the appropriate area on the membership
application.)

Michael J. McGuire, Attorney at Law, is an Elder Law attorney and President of the California Elder Law Center, Inc. Mr. McGuire specializes in long-term care and nursing home issues. He advises seniors and their families on how to get good care and safeguard their assets. The California Elder Law Center specializes in obtaining entitlements for seniors, all aspects of nursing home issues, sophisticated estate planning and IRA distribution strategies. Michael McGuire is a recognized speaker, having appeared on television and addressed national audiences on senior issues.
Mr. McGuire's depth of experience is unique and has proven very valuable to the clients of the California Elder Law Center . He has a background in the financial planning sevices industry as a result of having been an Account Executive with E.F. Hutton & Company. In addiiton, he has been an executive in the field of real estate financing with institutions such as Home Savings of America and Glendale Federal.
Mr. McGuire was born and raised in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , received his college education in Arizona and went to law school in Los Angeles . He served in the United States Army before beginning a career in marketing that included working for Hallmark Cards, the Xerox Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company.
