Sarah Ulibarri brings us "Unhappily Married: Conflicts of Interest and Other Ethical Issues in Intergenerational and Marital Estate Planning"

Sarah will touch on the recent and relevant case law concerning the California Rules of Professional Conduct. She will review practical procedures for an estate planning attorney at the different stages of representation, issues to spot for conflict, and guidance on language for engagement and conflicts waivers.

About Sarah Ulibarri

Sarah Ulibarri advises clients on advanced estate planning, probate and trust administration, conservatorships of the person (limited and general), and guardianships of the person. She works diligently to establish a trusted partnership with clients on both a personal and professional level.

Some of her key capabilities include preparing and reviewing IRS tax returns, including forms 706 and 709. She also advises and petitions courts regarding modifications of irrevocable trusts in order to account for changes in income and estate tax laws; changes in personal circumstances; and changes in the law of trusts.

Being an advocate for special needs beneficiaries is a passion for Sarah. She helps parents, family members, and fiduciaries understand how a special needs trust can play a key role in helping individuals with special needs and disabilities retain their essential needs-based government benefits, services, and care, and also enjoy an enhanced quality of life.
